wordless

i've lost the desire to post...

there's a song i like that rosie thomas sings, denison witmer actually wrote it, but she made it: paper doll

there is a line towards the end that say:

"here i am, wordless again, you dress me up in different ways. flat and thin, speechless within..."

and that is how i feel tonight. speechless. flat. wordless. very thin.

first week of teaching is over. SO much to say about that and school and myself and the direction we're going and the things i'm doing...

i've gotten emails from girlfriends at home and my heart aches to have oceans separating us. for all the wonderfulness and joy email is...it can only do so much.

haiti. what to say? what to say. each day, with each photo my heart breaks anew. i keep crying out for the Lord's mercy and still feel horrible. i know people with family and friends yet to be heard from. i have friends waiting "in transit" to get on the ground. i just have no words. i can't think of anything to add or say besides my heart is broken.

my dad (and me, and mom) have been working tirelessly to get him there. so proud to have a father who cares about these things and is so willing to sacrifice himself to help. wish i could be working besides you, dad...praying for it to fall in place. love you!

i have no words though for what i really want to share. whats really on my heart. emotion is getting the better of me and i'm just thankful to be alive. thankful to have a family who supports me endlessly and loves me. thankful to be safe...and thankful for water, not only to drink whenever i want as much as i want (and we all know how i drink water), but to shower and cook and clean. ooooo dear Father, please be with the people of Haiti! Please start to allow teams and supplies to get in!!!

I feel no shame in plugging this ministry. i love what convoy of hope does. a good friend of mine is one of the coordinators and i posted about Matt and his blog a bit ago. i know first hand the good your money will bring.

if not here, then try Samaritan's purse...a "friend" of mine, actually family of a friend, but anyway...is giving 5c for every unique "hit" to his photography blog. all it takes is you to go visit his site once. so DO IT! please :)

please, just join in me sending every prayer and ounce of love in your heart to these broken people...Jesus loves them so.

  2. some day yes some day daughter we will no longer feel days like these anymore.....those emotion laden days of darkness, flat, empty, longing yet not sure what you're even longing for exactly because it is too overwhelming......some sweet precious day our lover will do away with these type of days! Hallelujah all praise to him alone who sits on the throne forever and ever amen.
